Currently there is no regulation of advanced nursing practice so you only need your Registration as a nurse and proof of training for prospective employers. Its up to you to negotiate an appropriate salary scale and Job Description.

This is an exciting new post within an expanding Practice. The Clinical Team is made up of GP’s/Practice Nurses/HCA’s. My client is a dynamic practice, progressive business with excellent career prospects that will enable you to reach your full potential.
Ideally you will have experience of A&E/Urgent Care/Walk in Centre. You will be responsible for providing a high standard of care using advanced autonomous clinical skills, providing appropriate education and advice for informed decision making regarding treatment and patient centered packages of care. The successful post holder will play a leading role in developing the nursing team.
You will be expected to influence all related aspects of care and management of patients and deliver individualised and personalised direct patient care, where appropriate, and you will lead on chronic disease management . You must be able to communicate effectively with a wide range of healthcare professionals and be enthusiastic and committed to making a difference, and a commitment to improving nursing practice through ongoing personal and professional development.

We are seeking a trained Nurse Practitioner (with prescribing qualification) to enhance our team, with the ideal candidate having general practice and diabetes experience, and a passion for maximising the role of the Nurse Practitioner in a primary care environment.

This is an on-going opportunity, 3 months for now (with the potential to be lengthened or become permanent for the right Practitioner/Community Matron).
It is a full time position (35 hours a week), Monday to Friday, 9.30am to 5pm from the 16th of January 2012. £32 per hour including holiday pay.
These shifts are working in the community doing Home Visits, so you must have experience doing Home Visits and working with the elderly.
