We are looking to recruit dedicated and committed Nurse to provide effective nursing advice, triage and treatment to patients in our busy GP Practice in Lichfield.
You will be responsible for the effective assessment of primary health care needs, diagnosis, treatment and referral of patients visiting the Surgery. You will need to demonstrate critical thinking and diagnostic reasoning skills in clinical decision making for adequate assessment and intervention to assist patients, especially in emergency situations.

The successful candidate must be registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Council, be a qualified Nurse Prescriber (Independent and Supplementary), they must have a recognised nurse practitioner qualification at Masters level or working towards it and have experience as a Nurse Practitioner in Primary Care/A&E. Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to deal sensitively and diplomatically with a range of people are a must.

Hours of work are 29 per week over a 4 day week, salary dependent upon experience and qualifications, but circa £30,000 pro rata.

About the Practice

Langton Medical Group is based in Lichfield with a branch surgery in the village of Whittington. We have a practice population of approximately 10,000 patients. There are currently 6 GP partners and 1 Nurse partner. We have a dedicated management team. Including partners our clinical team comprises of  7 GPs, 3 Advanced Nurse Practitioners,  5 Practice Nurses and 1 Health Care Assistant, we also have support from our administrative, secretarial and reception staff. We are a teaching practice and regularly have both registrars and medical students based with us.
